Hello, I'm Emma

I'm from York, England, and currently live in Barcelona. I studied English Language and Linguistics and I'm a fully certified Cambridge CELTA English teacher.

I've been teaching for over 18 years and decided to specialise in pronunciation in 2015 due to the fact that there were hardly any resources online for British accent and pronunciation development at the time.

I started Pronunciation with Emma in 2017 after completing my MSc in TESOL Education.

Since then, I've helped over 2000 students across 50 countries, have an amazing team of pronunciation experts who help me, and have amassed over 2 million followers on social media and over 45 million views.

I also speak Spanish to a high level, understand Catalan very well, and have previously studied Portuguese, French, German, British Sign Language, and Japanese. I'm currently learning Italian.
